Ta-Lung Chiang, from Tiachung, Multiple District 300 Taiwan, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 93rd International Convention, held in Sydney, Australia, June 28 to July 2, 2010.
Chiang is affiliated with the Yu-Da Education Institution.
A member of the Changkung Lions Club and a Lion since 1992, Director Chiang has held many offices within the association, including club president, zone chairperson, region chairperson, district committee chairperson, vice district governor and district governor.
In recognition of his service to the association, Director Chiang has received numerous awards, including the 100% Club President Award, the International Hero Award, the International President’s Leadership Award and three International President’s Certificates of Appreciation. He is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Director Chiang has been active in numerous professional and community organizations, including serving as Chairman of the Cultural and Educational Foundation of the Affiliated Industrial Vocational High School of National Changhua University of Education, Director General of the Taiwan Civil Aid Service and? Chairman of Yu-Da Cultural and Educational Foundation. He also received the 2001 National Goodness Prize.
